Frequently Asked Questions
The most common complaint is one of the easiest to fix. Please check to make sure that the email address you are using to log onto the membership and events system is the email address that NJ NACHI uses to contact you.
DO NOT ‘re-join’ NJ NACHI using a different email than the one we use to contact you. This will result in the creation of a second Member Profile, one that is not linked to your membership status/payments or your education history. Instead, LOG IN using the email we have on file, and make changes once you are on your Member Profile page.
Another way you can determine what email NJ NACHI has in our system for you is to go to the Member Directory on the website, look yourself up and see what email address is in the system.
Passwords to the new membership and event software system were sent to all NJ NACHI members in good standing on 11/2/21. Please check your email history for this email from NJ NACHI, and once you find your password, store it in a safe place for future use.
If you cannot locate your password, go through the Member Portal to the sign-in page and click on ‘Forget Password’. Once you are in your Member Profile, you can change your password if you wish.
Method 1: Renewal Reminders
The easiest and most common way to renew your membership is through Renewal Reminders. Renewal Reminders are automated emails you will receive on predetermined days before or after your Renewal Date. The first email you will receive will be sent 30 days before your renewal date. Each Renewal Reminder has a Renewal Link that is unique to you. When you click on that Renewal Link, you are taken to a page to renew your Membership.
Method 2: Through the Member Portal
If you have Portal Access, you can renew your Membership through the Member Portal. Members can start renewing from the Member Portal 30 days before the Renewal Date. When a Membership is eligible to be renewed, you will see a button to renew upon accessing your dashboard. You can also click through the ‘My Account’ -> ‘Membership’ drop-down menu to view a full list of any Membership you’re enrolled into. If a Membership Category is eligible for renewal, you can click the ‘Renew Now’ button beside its name to initiate the process.
Method 3: When logging into the Portal
If your membership is Lapsed and the Grace Period has passed, you will no longer have Portal Access and you will be forced to renew before you can get access. Lapsed Members can initiate Membership Renewals simply by logging into the Member Portal. You will automatically be prompted to renew at login.Three Ways to Register

When certificates for a particular meeting are ready, NJ NACHI will send out a certificate release email to all event participants. This process occurs as our volunteers have time to reconcile the registration with the sign in sheet, adjust any necessary payments, and generate the blast/survey. This could take up to 2 months, and may or may not occur in chronological order. Prior to the official release of the certificates, you may find some, but not all of your certificates in your Member Account. Please do not contact NJ NACHI about any missing certificates unless you have received the official email release for that meeting.

At this time, all of the CEU certificates from the license period 2021-23 have been issued. From their Dashboard, Members can print a single transcript of all their CEUs from NJ NACHI’s Membership & Event website that has been approved by the HIAC. If you feel that a CEU certificate is missing from the 2021-23 license period, please contact NJ NACHI.
Not any longer. The published deadline for downloading certificates was October 31, 2021. NJ NACHI has plans to re-create all of the certificates for the current license period in the new system. We hope to upload all of our member’s historical education history so that education transcripts can be generated if needed. There is no timetable for this work, as it is being performed by volunteers who all have their own businesses.
NJ NACHI is a provider of continuing education credits for your Home Inspection license renewal ONLY. NJ NACHI is not an approved NJ DEP educator and we do not store CEU certificates for approved NJ DEP education providers. If you have lost the certificate you were issued at a NJ NACHI Radon Refresher event given to you by the NJ DEP education provider, you will need to contact that provider for a duplicate copy:
New Jersey NACHI invested in an online presentation platform to provide remote meetings during the Covid health emergency, and continues to maintain our subscription for occasional remote meetings. Depending on the cost to hold these meetings, fees may or may not be charged for these events; the events may be designated as member only, or open to the public. To ensure continued and accurate accounting of your NJ NACHI CEUs, our existing membership and education tracking system (Member365) will continue to be utilized for registration, certificate issuance and survey generation of these remote meetings.
The online platform GoToWebinar will be used to hold remote meetings. A link will be provided for access to the online software once you have registered for the meeting through the normal meeting registration process. If you are using GoToWebinar for the first time, you will need to download the software when prompted to do so. You will be required to identify yourself using your first and last name, and the email address that is associated with your NJ NACHI membership account.
To participate in the remote meeting, you will need a desktop, laptop or tablet. We do not recommend using a smartphone, because the presentation will be difficult to see and interact with. You will need a device with a speaker (or use the call-in telephone option). A microphone is optional; webcams are not required at this time. Click here for a quick demonstration of GoToWebinar.
State Home Inspection regulations require educators to provide proof of attendance when CEUs are issued. At our North, Central & South meetings, this is accomplished with the sign-in and sign-out sheets as well as visual confirmation. For our remote meetings, please be aware of the methods that NJ NACHI will be using to verify your attendance and attentiveness:
-
The online system will track when you log on and log off the meeting. You must be logged into the meeting for its entirety to receive credit for the class.
-
The online system will track your screen activity. If you have other windows open on you computer and your attention is diverted from the class, your ‘Interest Score’ will drop. Individuals who do not meet a minimum Interest Score level will not receive credit for the class.
-
Polls will be taken randomly during the presentation. 100% participation in the poll questions is required to be awarded credit for the class.
The use of the GoToWebinar link by those who are not registered through NJ NACHI’s membership and meeting registration software (Member365) is not authorized.
Certificates of completion will only be issued to those who have signed up for the Remote Meeting via NJ NACHI’s meeting registration software (Member365) and who have met the 3 attendance and attentiveness criteria above.
